2/3 Parkedge Road, Sunshine Beach, sleeps up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms. This cleverly designed freestanding house takes full advantage of its natural environment offering both seclusion and shade. It has been completely refurbished and is in one of Sunshine Beach’s most popular locations.
The property is set over 3 levels and sits in an elevated position on the hillside in Sunshine Beach. It is directly opposite the Noosa National Park. 2/3 Parkedge Road, Sunshine Beach, benefits from the cooling ocean breezes that sweep up from the coast through the trees below.
You enter the property on the mid-level and descend a few stairs into the very spacious open plan living and dining area with high ceilings. The house has honey-toned hardwood floors throughout and lots of timber louvres to allow the air to flow through. There are a well-equipped kitchen and dining table to sit 8. A large serving hatch opens out on to the deck outside the kitchen.
Relax on the two comfortable couches or settle in for a holiday read on one of the corner armchairs. Bi-fold doors open out onto a lovely shady balcony and can be pushed all the way back to really create a seamless flow between inside and out. This is a lovely cool area to enjoy alfresco dining and take in the sounds and sights of nature all around you.
The top level of the house is given over to the master retreat. It features a Queen bed, mirrored dressing room, study nook with wireless printer (there is free wifi) and a lovely ensuite with over-bath shower. Enjoy relaxing on your private sun deck. Sliding doors can be opened out onto the deck from both the bedroom and the ensuite. This bedroom is air-conditioned, but with opening windows on both sides of the room that allows the air to flow through, you may not need to use it.
On the lower level of the house, you’ll find a games area with a pool table and SmartTV. The additional two bedrooms with garden views are adjacent to this area. One has 2 x King singles and the other a Queen bed. There are a fully-equipped laundry and a bathroom with a large shower on this level also. While the bedrooms are not air-conditioned the games room is – being on the lower level, protected from the sun by the tree canopy, this area is lovely and cool.
A central sunken courtyard in the centre of the property features a copper toned heated plunge pool set under a mighty pandanus tree. This is a lovely secluded area to relax on the day beds provided. Retracting shades can be extended to provide extra shade if needed and the area is secured with gate access.
There is a double secure garage with remote access for guest use with internal access to the house.
Pets (small dogs) are welcome on approval – fees do apply. The decks are enclosed but the exterior perimeter of the house is not currently fully enclosed.
2/3 Parkedge Road, Sunshine Beach, is a short stroll to the main Village centre. The patrolled beach can be accessed from a neighbouring street and there is a dog-friendly section at the northern end. A number of trails in the National Park across the road will take you to secluded outer bays along trails edged by sub-tropical forest, all the way around to Noosa Heads and Hastings Street.
