When: 24 July 2016, 9am – 5pm
Where: Pomona (32km west of Noosa, via Cooroy)
Looking for a fun family day off the beaten track (pardon the pun)? Well look no further than the annual King of the Mountain Festival held in the beautiful historic town of Pomona in the Noosa Hinterland.
If running up and down Mount Cooroora in just over 20 minutes isn’t impressive enough there is lots more happening including – bush poetry, a family fun run, heritage markets, school tug of war, mountain dash, skate park competition and jam session, live music, buskers, amusement rides, side show alley and food court.
The main 4.2km race kicks off at 3pm and attracts competitors from all over the world.
All the action can be watched on the big screen in Stan Topper Park.
The King of the Mountain Festival is a great festival that we in the Noosa region are very proud of and is always a great day out.
