This beautiful contemporary and pet-friendly holiday house at 41 Douglas Street in Sunshine Beach is full of creative features. Split over 3 stylish levels and with a heated pool it is within a few minutes stroll to the main village and the patrolled beach.
The residence maximises individual spaces while incorporating comfortable family living areas. The use of fully stacking doors and windows throughout allows you to seamlessly blend the outside with inside. Combined with its central location it would be hard to find a more ideal holiday home for the whole family.
41 Douglas Street sleeps up to 12 guests across 5 bedrooms (extra charge applies for the 5th bedroom if it is required) so is great for large or extended families or a group of friends. With 3 separate lounge areas, there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Parents can relax whilst the kids are playing in the lap pool, making the most of Sunshine Beach’s beautiful all-year-round weather.
The top level of the property comprises the master suite with its own balcony offering ocean glimpses. Featuring a King bed and ensuite with walk-in shower, double vanities and travertine tiling, this is a lovely retreat.
There are 3 bedrooms on the mid-level. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed while the 3rd has 2 x Singles (can be made into a King on request). The 4th room comprises a double bunk bed (double bed below, single on top). There is an additional single trundle in this bedroom which can be made up for an extra $15 on request. This room can therefore sleep up to 4 in total and is ideal for younger guests.
A very well equipped and sleek modern kitchen features stone benchtops and Miele appliances. The cosy dining corner has sliding windows on 2 sides that can be pushed back to create an alfresco area. There is an additional indoor/outdoor dining area with BBQ next to the pool that flows seamlessly from the main lounge.
In addition to the main lounge there is a separate adjacent media room with Foxtel and an integrated desk space. There is an additional bathroom on this level with shower and separate WC.
Tucked away at the rear of the basement/lower level there is a 5th bedroom with a King bed and own ensuite. There is an extra fee of $60 if this room is required so that linen can be provided – please specify whether you require this room at the time of booking.
Also on the lower level is a spacious rumpus room with TV – this makes a great kids retreat allowing the parents to relax upstairs.
Pets (dogs only) are welcome on approval – fees do apply and they must remain outside at all times. Please note that while there is a small strip of astroturf at the rear of the property the other areas are concreted. There is a park nearby and an off-leash area at the northern end of the beach.
