Golf Course Noosa

Our Favourite Noosa Golf Courses

We know Noosa is best known for its beaches, national parks and exceptionally beautiful natural surroundings. But our region also boasts some of the most exceptional golf courses in Queensland. If you’re planning a trip to Noosa and packing the clubs, Noosa golf courses range from a championship resort layout to a friendly community club, a laid back par 3 and a boutique course tucked into the hinterland. Each one has its own character, and each sits within a short drive of the coast. In this guide we’ve pulled together some of our favourites and their key differences, so you can slot a round or two into your holiday based on your preferences. Here’s where we send guests who want to tee off in Noosa.

Noosa Springs Golf Course: The Championship One

If there’s one golf course in Noosa that people know, it’s this one. Noosa Springs Golf Course is consistently rated one of the finest in Australia, with each hole boasting its own personality and style. The fairways run through rainforest and past spring-fed lakes on the edge of Noosa National Park, so you’ll likely share the round with koalas, kangaroos and plenty of birdlife.

The course is a par 72 championship layout, with a mix of challenging holes, beautiful scenery and plenty of natural obstacles to keep things interesting. Water comes into play on several holes, while the surrounding rainforest and native vegetation make every turn feel a little different.

Beyond the course itself, Noosa Springs offers everything you’d expect from a premier golfing destination, including a driving range, practice facilities, golf shop and clubhouse. It’s the surefire choice for when you want a proper golfing day and to experience one of Noosa’s most renowned courses.

Noosa Hills Par 3: The Laidback One

Not every good round of golf needs a collared shirt, a strict tee time and a competitive atmosphere. Noosa Hills Par 3 is all about keeping things simple, with a relaxed 27-hole course set amongst natural bushland in Noosaville. There’s also the option to play the unique 9-hole Big Hole Golf course, with oversized holes that put a fun spin on the traditional game. It’s a great choice for a casual round, whether you’re an experienced golfer looking to sharpen your short game or a beginner picking up a club for the first time.

Noosa Mini Golf is located on the same grounds too, which makes it an easy outing with kids in tow. When you want the fun of a round without the commitment, this is the most relaxed way to play golf in Noosa.

Noosa Golf Club: The Classic One

Located in Tewantin, this is the one the locals can’t get enough of. Established in 1937, Noosa Golf Club has been a part of the local community for almost 90 years, with its 18-hole course offering a classic club experience surrounded by native bushland and wildlife.

The course is challenging without being intimidating, with a mix of long fairways, water hazards and tree-lined holes to keep things interesting. It’s also conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from Noosa Heads, making it easy to fit a round into your Noosa holiday.

If you’re looking for a traditional golf club with a friendly atmosphere and a course that’s well-loved by locals, this is the one.

Noosa Valley Golf Club: The Hinterland One

Tucked away in the Noosa Hinterland, Noosa Valley Golf Club offers a totally different golfing experience to the courses closer to the coast. Surrounded by rolling hills, native bushland and beautiful hinterland scenery, the course feels a world away from the iconic coastline. It’s peaceful, scenic and a little out of the way, but the drive out there is all part of the experience.

For golfers who enjoy taking their time, soaking up the scenery and exploring a quieter side of the region, Noosa Valley Golf Club is well worth the trip to Doonan.
