The Noosaville Parkrun Course at Lake Doonella
Set among the natural surrounds of Noosaville, the Noosa parkrun course offers a refreshing change of scenery from the region’s famous coastal running routes. Starting near Noosaville State School, the 5km route follows a combination of concrete and compacted paths through the bushland and parklands near Lake Doonella.
Expect shaded pathways, gentle descents and a few uphill stretches to keep things interesting. While suitable for a range of fitness levels, the course is slightly undulating, so comfortable running shoes and a water bottle are recommended.
Planning a Saturday Morning in Noosa Around Parkrun
One of the best things about Noosa parkrun is that the morning doesn’t have to end at the finish line. With the event starting at 7am, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy everything Noosa has to offer.
After completing your 5km, make your way towards the Noosa River along Gympie Terrace. The riverfront is home to a wonderful selection of cafes, including Riverkind, Depot Noosa and La Vie En Rose, making it an ideal spot to settle in for a leisurely breakfast and a well-earned coffee.
After breakfast, head towards Hastings Street and Noosa Main Beach for a refreshing ocean swim. Spend the late morning relaxing on the sand before enjoying lunch at one of Noosa’s renowned restaurants. We warmly recommend Seasons, Bang Bang and Sails.
And for those who prefer a slower pace after an active start, there’s always the option to return to your Noosa Luxury Holidays accommodation for a swim in the pool, a relaxed breakfast on the terrace or a well-deserved morning of doing very little. After all, you’re on holiday!
