Coolum offers a chance to unwind and disconnect from the busy world. Surrounded by lush parks and clear waters, you’ll find endless opportunities to soak up the natural beauty of the great outdoors.
Begin your adventure with a refreshing swim at the main beach, a popular spot for surfers and bodyboarders alike.
Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you can learn to surf with the help of the experienced instructors at Coolum Surfing School. They offer lessons for individuals or groups. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of gliding through the ocean and catching your first wave.
Take a leisurely stroll along the scenic Coolum Boardwalk, a 600-meter trail that winds along the coastline from the Surf Club to Point Perry. This rocky headland marks the southern boundary of Coolum Beach and offers breathtaking views of the ocean in both directions. Look north to see Peregian and the Noosa Headland, or south to spot the sheltered First Bay and rocky bluffs.
Feeling more adventurous? Grab your walking shoes and head over to Mount Coolum. The trail starts with an easy walk through the natural bushland and forest, but soon becomes steeper as it winds through the rocky terrain. Make sure you take a break to catch your breath and take in the stunning coastal views. The return trip takes approx. 1 1/2 hrs.
